How much does it cost to join?                                                                                                                                                                                                  
It is completely free to join. All features are avaliable at no cost, feel free to upload as many or as few photos as you wish.

What is the commission?
The commission paid is 80% of the mark-up value.
Example: If the base price of a print is $10.00 and you mark-up the photo $40.00 to sell it at a final price of $50.00, a
commission of $32.00 would be earned by the photographer (80% of $40.00).


When and how do I get paid?

Upon reaching the minimum $50.00 balance you will be able to request payment. Payments are sent out on the 15th
of each month in the form of a cheque or PayPal.

How long until my images are assessed?
Images may not be assessed for 24 hours but are commonly approved or declined within an hour or two.

 

What are some of the requirements that help photography pass the assessment?
Some of the basic requirements include:
- Only submit work that is wholly owned by yourself
- Take time to name and tag photos properly
- Ensure images are free of dust spots and noise
- Do not submit work that contains a watermark, copyright notice, or a timestampLandscape Sqaure
- Photos with identifiable people will not be accepted
- Ensure photography is technically correct and free of imperfections
- Offensive, pornographic or erotic photography will not be accepted  
- Do not frame your work
- Upload files greater than 8.0 MP


In what format should I upload my photography?

Files should be uploaded in either TIFF or JPEG at 300 DPI. Each image should utilize the sRGB or Pro Photo RGB
colour space with embedded profile. The minimum number of pixels accepted in an image is 8.0 MP.


Is my photography safe on your website?

Yes, all photography added to our site is watermarked for protection.


I hear some websites don’t allow photographers to keep the
rights to their photography, is Committed Photography like that?

No, we are here to help photographers and have no interest in taking the rights to your photography.


Does Committed Photography require exclusivity of the photos I upload?

No, we do not require exclusivity of your uploaded work.

 

I don't live in Canada, can I still join?
Yes, we currently showcase work from photographers across the world.

 

How does “Photography for Cause” work?
Photography for cause is a great way to contribute back to a number of great causes. We support charities including
Children’s Wish Foundation, Breast Cancer Research Foundation and World Vision to name a few. Upon uploading
your photography you can select if you would like to contribute your commission on desired photographs. You can
select as many or as few as you would like. You are also given the option to choose where the funds will go for each
photo or leave it open for the purchaser to decide.
